Val di Scalve

The Mountain Community of Scalve is a local territorial authority founded in 1973 and constituted by 4 municipalities (Azzone, Colere, Schilpario e Vilminore di Scalve). It is located in the highest mountainous zone in the north-east of Bergamo province, near the border with the province of Sondrio and Brescia.
The Community is currently trying to appreciate (through the ASPIRE Project) how it might balance the productivity of human activities with the quality of the natural environment. It is committed to reducing pressures on the environment by improving the management of natural resources in the area. Some innovative planning methods and tools are planned to be introduced to achieve a more effective management of land.

Partners in the ASPIRE Project to develop the Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP) for the Community of Scalve are the Mountain Community of Scalve (CMS) & the Italian Thermotechnical Committee (CTI).
