Cornwall

The county of Cornwall is represented in the ASPIRE project by the three neighbouring towns of Camborne, Pool and Redruth (CPR). CPR represents the largest conurbation in Cornwall, with a population of approximately 39,000, and covers five miles along the western spine of Cornwall.

Historically CPR was built up around the tin mining industry, however the area is now undergoing an intense phase of regeneration and, through the ASPIRE project, the aim is to ensure that sustainable energy is integrated through every aspect of this new development.

Partners in the ASPIRE Project developing the Sustainable Energy Action Plan for the CPR Community are Community Energy Plus & Cornwall Sustainable Energy Partnership.

Information Booklet about Aspire

The Aspire Project team has produced an information booklet specifically about the opportunities that exist in Camborne Pool and Redurth, and the types of renewable technologies that might be used to help meet the energy demands of new development in the future.

Click here to download a pdf version of this booklet, or telephone the project officer on 01209 614973 to request a copy by post.
