Alûksne

Alûksne, the ‘Pearl of Northern Vidzeme’, is one of the oldest, most beautiful and traditional places in Latvia. It is situated in the North-East of Latvia, 204 km from the capital Riga, sharing borders with Estonia and Russia.
Alûksne is participating in the ASPIRE project as a core partner. This means that a Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP) will be developed for the region under the supervision and guidance of a Stakeholder Steering Board (SSB). The SSB will be comprised of key stakeholders and representatives from the region.
The Institute of Physical Energetics (IPE) is working with the municipalities in the region of Alûksne to deliver the actions of the ASPIRE project.
